Land Center Workshop

"Cultural policies and Farmers"

There is no dispute about that "Egypt before 25 January" differ from "Egypt after 25 January", but perhaps we disagree about our perceptions of Egypt after January 25 that does not accept compromising a set of constants almost to decline some in favor of projects do not have relationship with Egypt as a nation, but linked to other projects. The basic program for which it emerged from the masses was to be three slogans: live - freedom - human dignity.
Public frustration was dominating Egypt before January 25,, Will got rid Egypt of it after breaking the barrier of fear of security, and move mass blocs? Is frustration dissipated, and Sun hope full the sky warmth Egypt?.. Or are there clouds block the sun?
There is a new atmosphere overlooking the Egypt, where the Egyptian countryside and its Farmers from this new climate? Or is it purely illusions and lies reluctant the tongues of the new rulers?
Egyptian countryside far from the illusions of the alleged Renaissance, culture and arts retreat in urban areas despite fierce resistance made by a number of intellectuals and artists loyal, and rejects hostile tones that diversity is a source of inspiration Egyptian civilization since the dawn of history.
With the development of the concept of culture today so that became a cover as well as arts and literature, lifestyles, ways of living together, value systems and traditions and beliefs. Evolved cultural policies over time to keep pace with the evolution of the concept of culture, and entrenched within the concept of "cultural diversity" as a source of richness of the culture of communities, and as a able to reconfigure the cultures through induction dialogue; explicitly or implicitly, through induction to accept different other as a partner, working side by side on the construction and development of the society, which connects culture development, cross-reactivity harmonious within the groups and individuals, and within and among societies together.
And the belief of the Center of the Earth greatness role of the countryside and culture in making progress peoples, looking him and aspirations for a better future; calls for this workshop panel discussion "Cultural policies and Farmers" across the three axis; discusses the first axis of them cultural climate of Egypt under the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood, which seized the Muslim Brotherhood on the reins of power They do not have any clear vision for economic affairs, social or cultural; except they Renaissance, which promoted him as a placebo for their candidate Reserve; They ignore the facts of history and geography as much as ignorant of the language of the times and culture. and because the Brotherhood do not realize the installation demographic Egypt's very versatile and affluence, as Egypt take from Arabic its official language, and condemns the majority of the population of the religion of Islam (Sunni), and there are multi-cultural: Christians, Baha'is, Shiites, Armenians, Nubian, and Bedouins. The Brotherhood benefit from this diversity to dye their formal democratic rule does not accept it, there are a dialogue with partners home in spite of, even though they are a source of wealth and the wealth of this nation.
The second axis; cultural rights of farmers, it is an open discussion of the form and function of these rights and their role in the development and improvement of quality of life. History tells us: that the stability of the farming community where he lived Egyptians since ancient times helped to build a civilization Teem many of the arts, the most important music and singing, painting, engraving, sculpture, Accumulated and evolved in different ages starting from the Pharaonic age through Gauls and Romans, and then in the course of ruling Arab-Islamic Even the modern age.
With foresees third axis program Enlightening the countryside of Egypt, where it is the Ministry of Culture is the Prime Ministry responsible for the formulation and implementation of cultural policies, as set forth in that the figures are different, Is there the roles and responsibilities of other ministries in the light of the decline Budgets of the Ministry of Culture in the government of the Muslim Brotherhood, such as the ministries of information and youth and local government and education? .. What is the size and role of the independent sector (civil society organizations and independent teams) the implementation of these policies? And how can tangle roles to build an integrated organization? It is the defining cultural policies, especially in light of the rule of ancestral brothers retroactive? And other questions that enlightenment program tries to provide perceptions of her process.
The workshop will try to monitor the reality of cultural climate and cultural rights in the Egyptian countryside, and to foresee the future of this fact, and attempts to development in order to improve the quality of life.
The workshop will be held on 29.04.2013 at the center of the earth and coming honored and pleased.
